Services:

2D Plans Tracing and Parts Service

This is the service that allows you to send us your plans in a scanned bitmap format so that we can electronically trace the parts on the plans. We then export the parts to a file that can be sent to a laser or CNC cutting service.

3D Re-Plan and Parts Service

Many old plans are just too skewed or distorted to make good parts from. When we see this situation, we'll let you know and since we do not want you to be disappointed with the quality of our services, we offer an alternative to the 2D Plans Tracing and Parts Service. This service generates a partial 3D file of your model which we then use to create GOOD parts from. Very old, hand drawn plans often end up going to this service.

3-View to 3D and Parts Service

This is the service that converts a three view picture into a 3D model. We then use the 3D model to create all the internal structure within the model so that it can be built. We then export the parts to a CAD file that can then be sent to a Laser or CNC cutting service

LaserFlight 1:3 Scale (6m) Slingsby Type-13 Petrel Short Kit

This is a laser cut short kit somewhat based on the 1:3.5 scale Slingsby Petrel built by Chris Williams in the UK. This particular model design was commisioned of me by an avid sailplane builder and flyer in Southern California. He already had the fuselage built and needed a set of wings. That's how this short kit was born. Further requests from other flyers finally ended with me designing and creating the rest of the components necessary to build the fuselage, rudder and stab. This kit simply needs long balsa/spruce stock and ply sheeting to finish. The LaserFlight short kit comes with all laser cut ribs, formers, keels and numerous other components necessary to build the model depicted in the plans that are also provided The Short kit has been upgraded with a number of additional features that are possible with laser cutting and they aid the constuction process significantly.

LaserFlight Schleicher 1:4 scale ASK-13 Short Kit

This is a laser cut short kit based on the Cliff Charlesworth 1:4 scale ASK-13 plans and canopy available from _________________. You will need top purchase the plan and canopy for this sailplane from the supplier noted above in the UK. The LaserFlight short kit comes with all laser cut ribs, formers, keels and numerous other components necessary to build the model depicted in the plan. The Short kit has been upgraded with a number of additional features that are possible with laser cutting and they aid the constuction process significantly. An additional plan is also made available that details the additional features in this kit.

LaserFlight Schleicher 1:4 scale ASK-14 Short Kit

This is a laser cut short kit based on the Peter Hornby plans featured in the Aviation Modeler Magazine in the UK. The plans, canopy and cowl are available from Model Activity Press, also in the UK. You will need to purchase the plan, canopy and cowl for this sailplane from the supplier noted above in the UK. The LaserFlight short kit comes with all laser cut ribs, formers, keels and numerous other components necessary to build the model depicted in the plan. The Short kit has been upgraded with a number of additional features that are possible with laser cutting and they aid the constuction process significantly. An additional plan is also made available that details the additional features in this kit.
